About
the Artist
Holly Pratt,
harpist and educator, is founder of the chamber ensemble Lyrica.
She also appears with other chamber ensembles and Early Music ensembles.
Additionally,
she serves over 45,000 students per year with the innovative Holly's
Harps program. With special interest in very old and very new music,
she performs on a variety of harps, including an historical multi-row
harp, and works closely with contemporary composers. She travels
with numerous harps of all sizes, bringing the delight of this fascinating
instrument to audiences and workshop participants. Her work has
been profiled on television, in newspapers and on Public Radio.
Recent engagements have taken her North America, Europe and Japan.
Recognition
for Ms. Pratt's work has come from numerous state and metropolitan
Touring Arts rosters and Arts-in-Education rosters, as well as the
Great Isle Organization, Ohio Arts Council, Kentucky Arts Council,
Very Special Arts, Musica Historica, Cathedral Arts World, Community
Arts Fund, The Fine Arts Fund, Metro Arts, Purdy Foundation, Nabama
